The Lucky Devil Girly Show performs to both live and canned music. We all love the idea of the Girlies performing to music we create-but have you ever tried to dance and take off your clothes while playing mandolin?
We love it all! We dance everything from Aretha Franklin’s Respect to a country/bluegrass cover of AC/DC’s You Shook Me. A few of our favorite artists are: Tenacious D, The Sandman, The Murder City Devils, Circus Contraption, and of course The Asylum Street Spankers-we have the biggest crush on Wammo, but we’d really like to invite Christina to one of our slumber parties! Anyway, we love all sorts of music. Feel free to contact us with artist/music recommendations-we are always looking for more music (and musicians) to fall in love with.
We are a talented group! We have Girlies that sing, and also Girlies that play guitar, ukulele, mandolin, sax, flute, percussion instruments, and more. We also work with an amazing group of musicians via Cirque de Risqué. Some of the musicians that perform as Cirque de Risqué are from talented groups such as White Trash Compactor, (Anarchists’ Union) Local 360, and FDM. We also have solo performers within Cirque de Risqué: Howlin’ Hobbit is often on hand to entertain us with old jazz and original tunes on ukulele.
Our red-hot vixen Scarlett Fever can usually be seen and heard at any given show- stripping and belting out the blues or a classic cabaret number. Miss Chickadee La Verne opens our shows chirping along with her ukulele. Then, all the girlies join her onstage to sing our Theme Song (check it out below). Peaches A La Mode is still trying to figure out how to sing into a mike while stripping and roller-skating (she’s such an overachiever!)-but she rocks and we know you’ll see it soon. Our Cirque de Risqué regulars Poppa B. High and BDSM (Big Daddy Stage Manager or Beelzebub Damien Satan Mephistopheles) provide percussion, guitar and general sex appeal.
